MU67A completed the Spring 2012 semester by writing music for video games. This process focused on music layering techniques as opposed to linear composing. Three stand-out tracks were composed by Tyler Comes modeling for the Diablo 3 game, Matt Thalin writing for an action-battle sequence, and Knut Owen utilizing kitchen pots, pans, and utensils for a very creative game soundscape. All three demonstrate varying game intensities depending on the player’s challenges.
