Cornejo Scores!

From Lou De La Rosa:

As the past department chair, I am proud to share this link which promotes Contest, a new independent film about high school bullying that will have it’s world premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival on October 5, followed by a national television debut on the Cartoon Network the following day.

Robert Cornejo, the composer of the film’s soundtrack, including 12 original songs, is Music Department Chair and Director of Scoring for Film, TV and Gaming/Composition here at West Valley College.

Congratulations to Robert! This is not only a feather in his cap as a composer, but it is an incredible opportunity for many of our students who have witnessed the compositional process firsthand. On a daily basis, they see the career possibilities for themselves in music composition with Robert, as well as in music performance with Gus Kambeitz, Jeff Forehan and adjunct instructors Naoki Taniguchi, Sandra Bengochea and Jacque Wilson-Scharlach.

What a cool place to work!! Pass the word and program your DVR to record Contest!
