[Updated] Maryanne Mills writes: There are three wonderful Day of the Dead altars/celebrations around campus this week!

The Puente Club is having a celebration today, Tuesday, October 29th at 12:30 pm in the Campus Center. Texkatlitoka Aztec Dancers and Drums will be performing a traditional dance and providing an explanation of the Day of the Dead and the significance of the altars that are set up on this day to honor those who have passed away.

The WVC Gallery in the Campus Center is having a reception today, Tuesday, October 29th from 5-7pm. showcasing the artwork of students inspired by Day of the Dead imagery.

The Library’s Day of the Dead altar is honoring some WVC employees who passed away this year. It will be on display until November 4th.
